How to Brush Your Teeth Right and Right

Although it has become a daily routine, not a few who do not know how to brush teeth properly. How about you?

Basically, brushing teeth aims to clean up food scraps that are stuck and tucked between teeth. If the method is wrong, it can have a negative impact on overall gum health and oral cavity.

Accordingly, research written in the International Journal of Dental Hygiene states that the combination of bass and roll techniques is the most appropriate. Because, such effective tooth brushing techniques to clean dental plaque as a whole.

How to do it? Here is a guide that you can follow:

  1. Toothbrush bristles are directed at the base of the teeth (the border between the gums and teeth), with an angle of 45⁰ to the axis of the tooth.
  2. Place the toothbrush head to keep in contact with the teeth. Apply gentle pressure to place the tips of the bristles on the boundary between the gum and teeth. Then, vibrate and rub in 5 movements without moving the tips of the bristles from the gum line.
  3. Next, point the toothbrush bristle 45⁰ facing the gum and tooth border. Then, move it towards the surface of chewing teeth 5 times.

Perform the steps above starting from the inside of the lower teeth, then continue to the right side. After that, brush the entire surface of the teeth chew, and proceed to the bottom teeth on the outer side facing the cheeks. Do the same steps for all upper teeth.

Stages of toothbrush must be done at least 2 times a day, namely in the morning after breakfast and at night before bed with a duration of 2- 3 minutes. To make teeth really clean and healthy, make sure you use toothpaste that contains fluoride.
